Hotel:Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in St. James
Only 15 minutes away from the Sangster International Airport the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa is nestled between plush green mountains and crystal blue sea. The family friendly resort is located on the historic Rose Hall plantation and includes a water park with slides and a lazy river. The resort offers up typical activities like scuba diving, and water skiing. For the fitness addicts who would like to maintain their regimens while on vacay there is a gym complete with jogging track. There are several dinning options from the Three Palms Restaurant to Italian cuisine at Luna Di Mare. If you’re not up for formal dining experience you can always grab a bite from local vendors.
Good food, courteous staff, nice clean resort with ample activities, and decent rooms.
Insane cliff diving, breathtaking sunsets, and live music are some reasons why RICK’S CAFE is the ultimate tourist attraction in Negril. The bar becomes less crowded after the sun sets and the night falls. Tourists tend to leave in droves on their tour buses after they feel like they’ve captured the perfect ‘sunset picture.’If you want vibes that are bit more on the local side it’s best to come just in time to see the sunset and stay later for dinner and drinks. A live band plays classic reggae, and even some of today’s hits. They take requests too! So don’t be shy. The restaurant has flavorful dishes and strong dishes. That jumbo shrimp! Whether it’s a romantic evening with your significant other, or chilling with a group of friends, you’ll love the energy and overall vibe that Rick’s serves up.
7 Mile Beach
There’s never a dull moment on the 7 mile beach. The beach is alway s buzzing with local vendors hawking their services by day to beach parties at night. Vendors sell everything under the sun from water sports packages, jerk chicken, massages, hair braiding services to Jamaica’s favorite homegrown plant. If you’re looking to jet-ski, parasail, or scuba dive be sure to shop around before going with the first vendor that tries to sell you a “deal.” A lot of times the prices vary depending on the flow of business that day. Some vendors offer jet ski rentals and tours for as low as $25 USD
JB’s Final Tip: You will get more for your money at local exchange outlets, and stores.
Huge thank you to Jonathan for sharing his vacation highlights!
