Favorite Hangouts

Rick’s Cafe

Insane cliff diving, breathtaking sunsets, and live music are  some  reasons why RICK’S CAFE is the ultimate  tourist attraction  in Negril.  The bar becomes less crowded after the sun sets and the night falls. Tourists tend to leave in droves on their tour buses after they feel like they’ve captured the perfect ‘sunset picture.’If you want  vibes that are bit more on the local side it’s best to come just in time to see the sunset and stay later  for  dinner and drinks. A live band plays classic reggae, and even some of today’s hits. They take requests too! So don’t be shy.  The restaurant has flavorful dishes and strong dishes. That jumbo shrimp! Whether it’s a romantic evening with your significant other, or chilling with a group of friends, you’ll love the energy and overall vibe that Rick’s serves up.

7 Mile Beach

There’s never a dull moment on the 7 mile beach. The beach is alway s buzzing with local vendors hawking their services by day to beach parties at night.  Vendors  sell everything under the sun from water sports packages, jerk chicken, massages, hair braiding services  to Jamaica’s favorite homegrown plant. If you’re looking to jet-ski, parasail, or scuba dive be sure to shop around before going with the first vendor that tries to sell you a “deal.” A lot of times the prices vary depending on  the flow of business that day. Some vendors offer jet ski rentals and tours for as low as $25 USD

JB’s Final Tip: You will get more for your money at local exchange outlets, and stores.
