They Came. We Raved. They Loved Brooklyn. I had the privilege  of attending SHM’s show last night at Barclays Center. Let me rephrase this, three Swedish guys slayed my city. Axwell, Angello, and Ingrosso came to Brooklyn and f***  sh*** up.

This was my first official EDM concert (also my prep for Ibiza and Ultra) so I didnt really know what to expect.  You’d think that it won’t be much different from hearing their songs at a club. Wronggg. Yes there were no live singers (duh) but they delivered live instrumentation, occasionally  pounding on the drums  to the heavy bass beats.  So unexpected. I’ll be remissed if I didn’t mention the “fourth member” that enhanced the set  -”  the production.” The guys were accompanied with an impressive high value production. Everything from an intense light show, fiery pyrotechnics, to the  multi-sensory video screens really brought the songs to life.

The energy in the audience was LIVE  as expected (shout out to opening act,DJ Otto Knows for getting the crowd amped) but  for some strange reason the vibe grew  more insane in the later part of the set beginning with the mashup of Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.”  They performed the fan favorites  like “One, ” and “Greyhound.” A few stand out moments from the night was the crowd rapping in unison to “Miami to Ibiza” and singing  along to “Don’t You Worry Child,”  and “Save the World” at the top of their lungs.  The encore performance, a mash-up of  “Save the World”, “Reload” and, “Don’t You Worry Child” flattened the arena. I must have died and went to house heaven because nothing  is that divine. That moment was EPIC. Even if you’re not a fan of EDM you would’ve been moving some bone in your body.

Angelo, Axwell, and Ingrosso. Thank you. I came. I raved and I loved it!
