As I’m coming up on my 21st year for the second time around I can’ t help but feel nostalgic and reflect. I’ve learned a lot about life from my own experiences and vicariously through friends (at this point it’s a 50/50 split). So here are 19 selfish (or not so selfish) irresponsible lessons I’d tell my younger sister….if I had one. Actually it’s not really lessons per se but life wisdom?
The Dogg is now the Lion. Rap icon Snoop Dogg announced in a press conference on Monday that he is changing his name to Snoop Lion. The rapper credits this change to a spiritual and artistic rebirth after being immersed in Rastafarian culture during a trip to Jamaica.

I absolutely LOVE this video. Maybe I’m biased, maybe director Benny Boom just did a great job.Either way if you’re not familiar with Trini culture you’ll find yourself checking Carnival packages on Expedia and if you are familiar you probably already booked your flight and is watching this video saying YESSSS!

Lake George & 23 Like Jordan

For my 23rd birthday, I went to Lake George with my friends. After too many disappointing birthdays I wanted do something outside of clubbing and grabbing dinner. I needed to get away and didn’t care where. All I knew was I didn’t want to be in NYC, I had to be near water, and I’ve always wanted to go white water rafting. Considering the three, the top place to go was Lake George. Lake George had everything I was looking for plus it was 3 ½ hours away from the city. #Winning.
